Here in Minnesota, summers are short. I take advantage of it by spending as much time outside in the yard as I possibly can. My interests include; growing my own foods, finding colorful fun flowers, and making my yard a relaxing oasis. Each year I learn from my mistakes and improve on them the next year.
Gardening serves as an outlet to the busy work-filled days, getting my daughter to and from her activities, and spending time with family. I work hard on the yard so that I can look out the window and feel proud of what I have created. I like to mix colors and varieties to see how they turn out. I have a long way to go until I’m done, but that is the beauty of gardening – you are never really ever done.
I chose the name of the blog as a bit of a credit to the “professional” me. After graduating with a Parks, Recreation & Leisure Degree I have spent as much time as I can sharing the benefits of making time to learn something new – something fun!
I just nominated you for the Creative Blogger Award! http://howtostuffyourpig.com/2015/07/08/two-more-awards/
